Joseph's Field is
for the equine portion of the sanctuary and is named after Joseph who
is our resident pony. Joseph was tied to a tree for a year and consistently
neglected in his previous home. Although we do not know his age, every
veterinarian who he encounters is certain that he is 'ancient'.
These four are rescues that were
slaughter bound. There are two Belgians, one Percheron and one Mustang.
One of the Belgians is pregnant and is thought to have been bred
with a Throroughbred. The mustang is also pregnant the sire is unknown.
Both offspring foals will eventually need homes.
