Rudy Sponsorship
This is for a one month sponsorship of Rudy. You can sponsor for up to 36 months. A sponsorship makes a great gift for the animal lover in your life.
Rudy is a Jersey Steer who came to River's Wish in 2013 from a seizure done by Spokane County Regional Animal Protection Services. Rudy was our first experience with bovines. What we learned quickly was that Rudy needed the companionship of another bovine, not only for fellow understanding, but also for manners.
One of our veterinarians had an elderly cow by the name of Yula. He offered to bring Yula to live out her life with Rudy. We watched Yula guide Rudy in all things bovine which included teaching him manners.
The relationship developed between Rudy and Yula over time and their bond was very deep. As Yula was in her late teens when we lost her to cancer. When Yula became ill Rudy stood by her side and when her life left her body Rudy mourned, for weeks.
Several weeks after Yula's passing we welcomed two very large steers named Henry and Bergh. Rudy immediately perked up, literally jumping at the site of his new companions. They continue to live together.
Sponsorship funds go toward feed and medical care of the residents at River's Wish. Sponsors will receive a certificate via email recognizing their donation.
