Dancer Sponsorship
This is for a one month sponsorship of Dancer. You can sponsor for up to 36 months. A sponsorship makes a great gift for the animal lover in your life.
Dancer is a beautiful and spirited gelding who is in his mid-twenties. We rescued Dancer at a slaughter auction, where he was being paraded through with a large injury on his hind leg. He looked bewildered as he was led through the ring surrounded by kill buyers and a few people from the general public.
Dancer was our first experience with the slaughter auctions where we learned that regardless of age, training or breeding, any equine is vulnerable to this happening to their lives. Two equines we rescued from slaughter were pregnant in fact. It's a heartbreaking reality. At River's Wish we have promised forever sanctuary to those who come here.
Sponsorship funds go toward feed and medical care of the residents at River's Wish. Sponsors will receive a certificate via email recognizing their donation.
